Baby Dots

Baby Dots is an Android app aimed at infants and very young children. The screen presents dots that respond to touch, giving a small child something to look at and press without any menus, levels, or goals to work through. There is nothing to read and nothing to win, which keeps the interaction within reach of a baby who is still learning that a screen reacts to a finger.

The app is published by Peter Serwylo under the GPL-3.0-only license, so the source can be read, modified, and redistributed under those terms. It is released for Android only, so there is no desktop or iOS build to fall back on. Parents looking for an app with spoken instructions, recorded narration, or progress tracking should note that the design deliberately stays minimal and offers none of those layers.
