Audio Recorder

Audio Recorder is an Android application from Dmytro Ponomarenko for capturing sound through the device microphone. The task it covers is straightforward recording: start a capture, stop it, and keep the result as a file on the phone. Recordings accumulate as a list within the application, so previous captures can be played back or removed without leaving the app.

The intended use is voice notes, lectures, interviews, rehearsals, and similar situations where someone needs to record what is happening in the room without configuring a studio setup. Because the application is built around the phone's own microphone, audio quality depends on the hardware and the placement of the device.

The source is released under the Apache-2.0 license. Distribution is Android-only, with no desktop or iOS counterpart, so recordings made here stay on the phone unless moved off manually.
